Our Chick-fil-a finally opened. We have been following the construction process closely for quite some time--especially once Little Miss spied the indoor playground going in. We didn't go all out crazy on this one. We weren't among those who camped out in order to be among the first 100 patrons and receive a free meal a week for a year as a reward. I like a chicken sandwich...but not that much. We went at the tail end of the lunch rush, once we could find a parking place. Balloons, stuffed mini-cow characters, coupons for free breakfast sandwiches, managers from every Chick-fil-a in a 250 mile radius tripping over themselves to get us drink refills, extra ketchup packets, and clear the table for us--it WAS fun to be there for the grand opening.
The indoor play area is far and away the big draw for both of us actually. I'll be honest and confess that I don't like eating outside in July in Texas so she can be closer to the action on the super-heated plastic play equipment.
I'm pretty sure we will "eat mor chikin."
